Sand Lake Independence Day Parade
BOB Project was represented as a watcher at the parade. Here's the review
The Cedar Springs BOB project would like to give a High Praise Salute to all of the parade participants of the Sand Lake Independence Day celebration parade today hosted by the Sand Lake chamber of commerce.
The parade today lasted for more than an hour with a constantly moving parade of small town local community displays of businesses and organizations and community celebration support. We posted only 10 pictures here as a sample of the dozens that we took as the parade went by. Please scroll to the bottom of this post foa a list of the participants we noted. (if we missed any, please post in comments and we will gladly add them)
The parade stepped off with the lead of military veterans and a flag salute and the national anthem performed live at center stage in downtown Main Street.
Followed by the Grand Marshal and the Sand Lake Queen and her Court. The parade was also blessed with several Queen floats from various other local small town festivals throughout the parade.
The marching band for the local Tri-County High School followed closely behind the Sand Lake Queen's float.
Big trucks with big horns and big machines were proudly displayed by several local hometown businesses. Dean's Excavating and Denton Boys with their drilling toys were the two biggest displays of those big machines but they were not the only ones! Proud displays made by many small local businesses of their trucks, vehicles, and floats enhanced the parade along with a colorful display of many demolition cars promoting the demolition derby this evening.

We also saw political floats, churches and religious organizations, and community members proudly displaying their American Flag colors.
The parade ended with a very loud display of horns and sirens by fire trucks from several of the surrounding area departments who provided time and effort to participate in the parade.
If you participated in today's Sand Lake Independence Day celebration parade We Salute You and we thank you for showing your pride of the business that you provide service to the community with by displaying it at the parade.
If you were not in the parade today but you would consider doing so, please check in with your local Chamber of Commerce and find out how you can participate in local parades.
Community parades sure do make a great way to advertise your business and celebrate with your local community!
If you took pictures today at the Sand Lake Independence Day Parade we would love it if you would post them in the comments!
The Cedar Springs BOB Project is in the development stage of collecting as much information as possible for community events in the area and small businesses existing in the area in order to provide a local resource for all community residents.
